The Deafblind Technical Assistance Program (DBTAP) is a consultation service offered to parents and educators of children who are deafblind. The OCDBE works with a variety of consultants who have experience working with children with vision loss, hearing loss, and the combination of losses. When you request a visit, you will work with a consultant who will observe the child in the home or at school. The consultant will make suggestions, recommendations, and/or show you techniques to use when working with the child. A DBTAP visit can be requested by a parent or anyone working with a deafblind child (with parental consent) as long as the child is registered on the OCDBE Census. If you would like to register a child on the OCDBE Census, please click here. If you would like to request a DBTAP visit, please click on the link below to fill out the online form.
