If you suspect that your child, or a child you are working with, might have a hearing or a vision losses, the following decision trees (based on age) can assist you in determining whether or not there is a dual sensory loss. The decision trees will prompt you with a question and will then proceed to additional questions based on the answer provided.

The decision trees were developed by Dr. Susan Wiley, a member of the OCDBE Advisory Board, who specializes in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
